About HardenScout

Buying hurricane windows or shutters is one of the bigger checks most Florida homeowners will ever write for their house. The information out there is mostly written by people selling the product. HardenScout exists to be the other side of that conversation.

What we do

• Explain the options in plain English, so you can tell what you actually need.
• Compare local installers using public license records, real quotes, and work we can verify.
• Help you read a quote before you sign it.
• Keep track of refunds and grant programs, and tell you honestly how much they're likely to help.

What we don't do

• We don't install anything, and we don't sell windows or shutters.
• We don't take money to rank an installer higher or to leave one out.
• We don't make up reviews, ratings, or statistics.

Where we're starting

We're starting on Florida's Space Coast, with Brevard and Volusia counties, plus statewide guides on refunds and grants. We'll add areas when we can do them properly.

HardenScout is not affiliated with any installer or manufacturer. It is not part of, endorsed by, or affiliated with the My Safe Florida Home program or any Florida state agency. HardenScout is operated by College Tech Hub LLC.
